Comments by the Faithful & Discreet Slave class about those serving where the need is greater, specifically in their relationship to the progress of the worldwide Kingdom Preaching work:
"What accounts for such progress? Many things. Missionaries trained at the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead and, more recently, upwards of 20,000 graduates of the Ministerial Training School have made a huge contribution. So have the many Witnesses who at their own expense have moved to lands where the need for Kingdom publishers is greater. Such self-sacrificing Christians—men and women, young and old, single and married—play a significant role in preaching the Kingdom message throughout the earth. They are greatly appreciated."

MÉXICO--A LAND OF SPIRITUAL PROSPERITY!
"México... is a land where there is spiritual prosperity. Although Jehovah’s Witnesses are active in more than 230 lands, since 1987, worldwide, well over 10 percent of the home Bible studies conducted by them have been in México. And this program of Bible education is yielding results". These are the words of the 1995 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses!
This was the report for 1994 when México had 404,593 peak publishers, and 535,912 Bible studies being conducted. Does México continue to be spiritually prosperous? Letting the figures speak for themselves, today some 11 years later, the 2006 Yearbook, reports a peak of 593,802 publishers, almost 200,000 more publishers, and 667,649 Bible studies being conducted each month! México continues to be a land of spiritual prosperity!
Much has happened in México over the past eleven years, but first read the history of the preaching of the good news in México in the 1995 Yearbook! It is a thrilling account!
Did you know there was a time when Jehovah's Witnesses' Bible studies were referred to as "cultural studies"? That meetings were not opened and closed with prayer, nor songs sung before and after them, in México? That congregations could not be referred to as "congregations" but were called "companies" even though the rest of the world of Jehovah's people referred to them as "congregations" at that time? That "Kingdom Halls" were "halls for cultural study"? That although Jehovah's Witnesses went house-to- house preaching, that the Bible was not used? But instead that it was quoted from BY MEMORY by the brothers? That return visits and Bible studies were referred to as "cultural studies"? And all this right up through our modern history to around 1989?
If you are thinking of serving where the need is great in México, don't miss reading this outstanding account in the 1995 Yearbook! It is an interesting and encouraging account of how Jehovah blessed the preaching work in a land of spiritual prosperity, despite governmental laws at a time when Jehovah's Witnesses were not accepted as a "religious organization"!
Read up-to-date current articles on the work going on in México and Jehovah's blessing upon it since then! For example, there were no English congregations right up until 1996, but by 2006, there were 60 congregations making up four circuits!
In addition to this, in 2006, Chinese and French book study groups were in existence with the promise of soon having ones in Korean and other languages! There were whole circuits of indigenous languages and Mexican Sign Language! There were groups in French, Chinese, Japanese, German and Italian!
Jehovah is just beginning to open those doors of opportunity as more willing workers with a disposition like Timothy’s are finding listening ears among the many foreign languages spoken by residents of México.
Yes, México is a land of spiritual prosperity and the field is ripe for harvesting! Since México is a land of so many cultures and languages, one can choose from any one of these fields or areas of the ministry to help out ! For example:
The Spanish-speaking field. México's official
language.
The English-speaking in "Mexidonia": see
www.Needgreaters.com/MexicoEnglish.htm
The Indigenous Language Field, where some 62 languages are spoken by the indigenous peoples of México. See: www.Needgreaters.com/MexicoIndigenousLang.htm & www.needgreaters.com/MexicoCultureHistory.htm
The non-indigenous language field where there is a need for Chinese, Italian, French, Korean, and German.
The sign language field, where there exists some eleven circuits of Mexican sign language congregations in México!
Those having an interest in serving in México can research the Society's publications, talk with other needgreaters who are serving there and contact the Branch office for advice on where to serve in the area in which they have interest.
